Bar Model Fact Families Differentiated Sheets - Monster Themed - Years 1 - 3
This activity gets your students looking at fact families through the very popular bar model. This pack contains 8 differentiated sheets where they must use the bar model to help them complete the blank boxes to make the fact family by finding the appropriate additions and subtractions. The sheets contains bonds to 20, 30, 50 and 100 with the bonds both complete and incomplete.
It’s perfect for halloween, if you have a monster topic, or just like the fun graphics!
The bar model is a great visual way for students to visualise the problem.

Addition Dice Game: Years 1 and 2
This is a fun addition dice game for grades K - 1 to practise addition either mentally or using visual aids to help. Children will roll dice either 2, 3 or 4 times (depending on ability) and add them together. You can set different challenges each time (highest total score, lowest total score, quickest to complete, etc.).
This activity is a great lesson, but is also perfect as a fun extension activity.

More or Less Addition and Subtraction Board Game: Years 1 - 2
This board game is great fun and will give your class tons of practise looking at 1 more or less, 10 more or less, as well as some bigger numbers for an extra challenge.
It’s a no-prep game (all you need is dice and counters) which can be played with 2 or more players. I have used this resource very successfully as a lesson however I now keep a pile at the back of the classroom that children can use as an extension activity or treat (they love it that much!).

Outdoor Subtraction Task Cards: Reception - Year 1
Using physical materials outdoors is a great way to introduce your students to subtraction. For this activity they take a task card and use leaves, stones, and sticks to help them work out the simple subtraction on the card.
This resource contains two levels of differentiation:
Diff 1 (green) – Numbers 1 to 10
Diff 2 (blue) – Numbers 10 – 15
To help the task cards last, we laminate the them and get our student to write the answers on in removable pen.

A fun Easter maths activity which consists of 24 differentiated maths puzzles that make Easter themed shapes where children must work out the answers to questions to match the pieces together. This is a perfect activity for fun revision lessons as you are winding down for the holidays!
There are four puzzles for each age group that are differentiated 2 ways (8 puzzles per age group in total), which cover addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Counting and adding outdoors is great fun with this simple activity where students will fill in the grids with the correct number of items. For example, they may be asked to fill in six squares with four leaves and two stones.
This is a great way to introduce them to both counting as well as simple addition. It’s best to laminate this resource or print it on card so that it can be used multiple times.
